My name is Susan and mittens have changed my life

One of my favorite customers (admittedly I have a number of them) handed me a gift bag containing a pair of wool/cashmere mittens with a “Happy New Year” card last month – and that gift has, seriously, changed my life.

I haven’t had a pair of good mittens in – oh – easily 40 years and I’d totally forgotten how much warmer they keep your hands than gloves.  10 degrees with a wind chill of – 5 degrees?  No problem for me and my mittens!  Take the dog for a 20-30 minute walk during these cold months?  My mittens and me got it!

I love my mittens and can’t believe I’ve lived so long without ‘em!

this is a gorgeous retro dining set by Sligh and includes: table, 3 leaves, table pads and 6 chairs (chair cushions need to be re-upholstered or cleaned) priced $395; matching two piece china cabinet has caned doors which could be positioned closed in the middle or on each end (I couldn’t decide which I liked better so took a photo each way) and is in excellent condition and priced $495
