Little Door Hanger for Pink Saturday 4/10/2010

I whipped up this little door hanger recently. It could also be hung from a ceiling. I think I'm going to sell this so go here to purchase it if you want it so badly you just can't live without it!

Little bird, grass, velvet ribbon, rose garland and paper roses all over it.

And some spring stuff from Greenhurst Nursery in our town. Red and blue Oka shoes with bows and flowers. Darling......Squeeeeeeeeallll.....

A feather rimmed basket. How cute is this! Just adorable.

And a beaded chicken.

Easter Pretties

Let's talk, or should I say, look at easter beauties today. I love easter because there are so many beautiful things to look at during this holiday. Okay okay, I'm not talking about the candy, chicks! I'm talking about the bunnies, roses, eggs, jelly beans........okay, so I am talking about candy–"eye candy"!! I love eye candy almost as much as I love the real stuff. I love the smiles it brings to the little munchkins and the pretty new dresses some people wear. I love the feeling of happiness it brings to us in our hearts. But mostly I love it because of the resurrection of our Savior and the hope that springs up with it.

Aren't these vases of beautiful flowers awesome? Faux. Yep, faux!! I was going to buy them but I have no place for any more flowers in this house. Yikes.........

I was also going to buy this geranium wreath but it wouldn't fit on the door with the storm door we have on there for security. It is just too bushy to be in there.

And I don't need another rug according to the Love Bunny. I have boxes up in the garage attic full of beautiful throw rugs and a persian carpet rolled up somewhere along with several 6x9' carpets rolled up. One more might just push hubs over the edge. ;-) But isn't this gorgeous?!

I hate deviled eggs but I'd be willing to fill it with truffles or some such things if I bought it. *Wink*

Okay, now someone on etsy or ebay will come up with something like this I'm sure. Little felt easter bunny place mats.

I gave serious consideration to this wreath for the front door but hubs said he didn't think it would fit between the door and security/storm door either.

I'll show you more in a day or two plus I'll show you what I've decided on for the front door.

Ooooh, and for those who have emailed me about the bout with passing kidney stones, thank you all from the bottom of this ol' heart. I truly appreciate your kind comments, emails and thoughts. I'm back to feeling like my usual self and chompin' at th' bit to get some things done. My next project is to do a verrrrry special treat for my valentine swap put on by Miss Dolly. It will appear here first and I promise you that you will be delighted to see it.

I also am going to have a giveaway for my 500th post, chicks!!! Squeeeeeeeal, just you wait till you see what I'm giving away. You won't be able to contain the glee when you do. Keep watching for it within the week. I am a bit behind but that's to be expected with what these past 2 weeks have been like.

Bunny Plate & Petit Four & Faux Cake!

I just felt like making this petal cake today. Isn't it cheery? This are on ebay also. It made me feel like spring is definitely on the way!

Easter is almost here, chicks and bunnies!! I found this shabby little plate at a boutique in Boise a couple of months ago and couldn't resist buying it. I got a chick one also but I'm keeping it. This bunny plate just went up for sale on my ebay site. BUT the strawberry and petit four are included!!! Not, how can you beat that. It is so cute and cottage looking. I almost hate to part with it but I am.

Roses & Easter Arrived Yesterday!

Oh my gosh, look what arrived in the mail yesterday for me! Some things I ordered but some were just a "gift" from Rhea and what a surprise. Just meander down and take a look!! I was sooooo excited that I forgot to take pictures until I was reminded. I had already hung some of these things on my lattice (thank you, Miss Rhea! :-) ) so I had to take them all down and put them on the kitchen counter to photograph.

First, there are the parchment roses I ordered from Lori and they are lovely.

Then some little millinery "posies" from sweet Rhea. A "bling" C - my initial, some little white plastic hearts, tags, birds and a cupcake.

Would you just look at these sweet chicks?!?! I call all my gals "chicks" because we really a gaggle of chicks!! Hah! Look that word up and it means: informal or disorderly or noisy group of people. Yep, that's us chicks!! Right on the nose!

And theeeeennnnnn we have some sweet little birds in their own little white tissue nest. How cute. And notice how sweetly Rhea wraps them. I think I'm gonna take a clue from that and wrap better when I send something.

Now, the sweetest thing of all!!! A non-caloric cupcake (eye candy for us computer people......hah! I love eye candy!! Isn't he too cute? I've named him Mr. Ed - not after the old show by that name but after sweet Rhea's hubby who is not only a hunk but a really sweet guy......according to Rhea, of course, and she would NOT lie about that, trust me!!

And looooook at this cloche!! It's tiny but so adorable. I just love it because of it's tininess and look of fragility. The rose is under there for now but I'm thinking of other things to go under it also. I'm so glad I got it!

When I first opened the package and saw these I thought they were giant lollipops! Oh, be still my heart......candy?!?! So I opened them up and here's what they actually where. Are they not adorable?!?!?!?! Maybe even better than candy because I won't eat these up. Hah!

And just to keep some of you up to date on my office/crafts room this is how far I've gotten in a week or two. Pathetic, huh??? I'm still working on it though.

Roses & Easter Chick Box

And I was wondering what in the world I was going to do with all the ruffles I had left over from my aprons!!!! I found a place for them. Maybe more will come. We'll see, chicks! Surprise!!!!!

I made this little box, actually it's a medium box, painted it white and added polka dots and then a bareroot roses fabric ruffle around the bottom. The middle has a paper garland with grass and a ribbon rose and 2 little pink chicks with a mama chick!! It 's not only cute but it would look darling in a romantic cottage!!

Now, what do you have to do to obtain this little cutie? Well, I'm gonna tell ya, chicks. This is a giveaway for spring! Easter Eggs in Pink Carton!

Look what I did yesterday! These are so cute. I painted some wooden eggs with pink and blue and then added pink and yellow roses with leaves. It's my first time of painting roses on wood eggs or any eggs for that matter. Oooooh, how scary that was! I was so nervous. The egg carton I had to steal from Jack's eggs! He asked me where the eggs were. I said they were in the fridge. He asked me what I was going to do with the carton. I said, "paint it, of course." He's used to these conversations by now. Hah.

I then added some little chenille chicks, grass I cut from green raffia and little posies. I'm rather pleased with myself. Maybe someday I'll be a rose painter of note! Sigh......................
